Square Roots Farm

A scene from the apprentices' daily commute

If you are a college student looking to supplement coursework and/or earn credits while gaining hands-on farming experience, we'd love to work with you! Past internships at Square Roots Farm have ranged from formal to informal, from a casual once a week work-trade to an immersive experience similar to an apprenticeship. Please contact us to discuss your needs and interests.

We want our farm to be welcoming and accessible to our community, and we are always interested in work-trade arrangements. Contact us if you're interested in volunteering or visiting.

Each year, we welcome an apprentice or two to join us for the season, learning while working side-by-side with the farmers. Apprentices live on the farm and work across all enterprises, from seeding in the greenhouse and cultivating in the garden to daily livestock chores to staffing pick-up days or farmers markets, fully immersed in the rhythms and routines of a small, family-run, diversified farm.
