Pasture Raised Ethos
At Square Roots Farm, the term "pasture-raised" has a simple definition: It means that all of our animals have had continuous access to fresh, green, growing pasture for as long as the season allows. Everything is GMO-free, and we do not use chemical pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, fertilizers, hormones, or unnecessary antibiotics.

By intensively managing our grazing system, we are building healthy soils and sequestering carbon. Rotating our animals around the farm allows them to follow their animal instincts like rooting, grazing, or scratching for food. This animal-centered approach provides our chickens and cows with a fresh salad bar of grass, clover and insects, resulting in superior flavor and enhanced nutrition.
